CLUB STATEMENT: DREW LEWIS REAPPOINTED AS WOMENS FIRST TEAM MANAGER

Following a series of positive discussions regarding the future direction of the women's programme, Drew has committed to leading the first team into an exciting new chapter as the club continues to strengthen its ambitions both on and off the pitch.

Drew returns to the role coming back to the club in November with an excellent campaign with the club's Under-19s, where he played a pivotal role in developing young players, implementing a clear footballing identity and creating a positive environment that allowed individuals to flourish. His success with the development squad reinforced the club's belief that he was the right person to continue building the women's programme.

A key part of Drew's appointment is his commitment to strengthening the pathway between the junior and the senior team, ensuring talented young players are given opportunities to progress while being supported by experienced players who can help drive standards on and off the pitch.

Speaking after his reappointment, Drew said:

"So much for not taking on a management role for a while! In all seriousness, this wasn't a decision I took lightly. I had multiple conversations with the club before deciding it was the right thing to do, and those discussions gave me real confidence in the vision and ambition for the future."

"I'm really looking forward to the season ahead and continuing to build with this club. One of my biggest priorities is to continue developing the talented young players coming through our pathway, giving them the opportunity to establish themselves in senior football, while also bringing experienced players into the squad who can support, guide and challenge them. I also want to bring the right people around the team who share our values and ambitions, creating the best possible environment for everyone to develop and helping secure a bright future for the club."

Sporting Director Steve Savage added:

"We are delighted that Drew has agreed to step back into leading our Women's First Team. The work he carried out with our Under-19s last season demonstrated his ability to develop players, build a strong culture and implement a clear identity on the pitch. Those qualities are exactly what we want throughout the club."

"Our vision is to create a genuine pathway from our junior section through to the first team. Drew fully believes in that philosophy, and together we'll continue building an environment where our young players can thrive alongside experienced players, giving the club a sustainable and competitive future."

Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Drew on his reappointment and wishes him, his staff and the squad every success for the 2026/27 Adran South campaign.

We look forward to seeing the next chapter of our women's programme unfold as we continue to build a pathway that gives every player the opportunity to represent the club at the highest level.
