U19 Women Update 2025-26

Pontypridd United U19s are set to kick off their 2025-26 campaign this Friday with a challenging away fixture against Briton Ferry Llansawel in the Adran South U19s league.
After an exciting pre-season, Head of Youth Drew Lewis has confirmed a strong core of retained players who will once again form the backbone of the squad -
Teigan Dinwoodie, Lili Callard, Lowri Marshman, Megan Rutter, Chloe Simmonds, Torri Grenfell, Evie Brown, Gwen Crane, Holli Price, Ruby Stacey, Libby Emanuel, and Robyn Lloyd all return for the new season, bringing consistency and experience to the group.
This year also sees an injection of fresh talent, with four new signings joining the squad: Issy MacIntyre, Ruby Medcraft, Catrin Edwards & 15 Year old Aimee Cake. All four will look to make an immediate impact and add depth across key positions.
Pontypridd are also delighted to welcome two players stepping up from the U16s into the U19s environment: Ayla Harris and Libby Williams. Both enjoyed excellent development last season and are eager to test themselves at the next level.
The U19s will also benefit from fresh leadership off the pitch, with Scott Birrell taking charge as U19s Manager and Paige Needham stepping up as Assistant Coach following her final season as a player in 2024-25. Their combined experience and passion for player development will play a key role in guiding the squad through the year ahead.
Head of Youth Drew Lewis said:
“We’ve built a competitive squad with a mix of experience, new signings, and exciting youth talent. With Scott and Paige leading the group, this season is about developing as a team, pushing our game model, and competing every week in what will be a tough league. We’re looking forward to getting started on Friday.”
The team has been working hard through pre-season on fitness, shape, and key principles of play, and they are ready to put that preparation into action.
