I thought all of the girls put in a great shift and everyone worked for each other.
We caught up with Player of the Match from Sunday’s clash against Swansea, our number 19 Olivia Barnett.
Olivia, congratulations being voted player of the match. How did you find the game and what are your post match thoughts?
Swansea are a top team so we knew it would be a physical game of high intensity. I thought all of the girls put in a great shift and everyone worked for each other. We competed well and stuck to our game plan and we were disappointed not to get anything out of the game.
Looking ahead to Sundays game vs Port Talbot what are your thoughts and feelings?
We know that port talbot are a tough team to play against so we are expecting a competitive game, but I think if we play as well as we know we can then I’m sure we will get the result we want.
How do you prep yourself on game days, any particular pre match routines or rituals to help you produce a top performance like you did on Sunday?
I always make sure I get a good sleep the night before and eat well before the game. I listen to my pre match playlist on the way to the game which helps me to get focused and in the zone. Stretching is also really important, and all of these things combined help me to play to the best of my ability
